Getting Started

We’re so excited you’re joining us. Whether you’ve never touched a pole before or you’ve danced elsewhere, this guide will walk you through what your first visit will look like and how our classes progress.

Before Your First Class

Safety first:

Make sure you fill out the health and liability waiver before coming to your first class. It helps the instructor plan ahead to accommodate any health restrictions. If you didn't fill out the waiver during class sign-up, make sure you do it here!

What to wear:

  • Shorts or leggings you can roll up — skin contact helps with grip.

  • A tank top or sports bra you feel comfortable in.

  • Barefoot is best.

Skip the lotion:
Lotion and pole don’t mix — it’ll make things slippery for you (and the next person).

Bring:
Water, a small towel, and yoga mat.

Arrive a little early:
Show up 10 minutes before class so we can get you checked in, answer any questions, and make sure you feel comfortable before we start.

How Our Early Class Progression Works

Step 1: Complete 3 Intro to Pole Classes (Level 0)

  • Every new client must start here, no matter your background.

  • We’ll teach you the absolute basics: grips, spins, safety, and body awareness.

  • Want to explore dance style early? Our Low Flow for Newbies Workshop counts as one of your three intro classes (great if you’re excited about the dance side of pole).

Step 2: Access Beginner Classes (Level 1)

Once you finish your three intros, you can join any of these Level One classes:

  • Beginner Pole (foundational skills)

  • Low Flow Choreography

  • Heels (Level One) (pole dance in heels — beginner friendly!)

  • Open Gym — Level One (self-practice time for Level One students)

We also have an Open Gym for Levels One and Two combined, and a separate Open Gym just for Level Two — your instructor will guide you when you’re ready for those.

Strength & Conditioning + Yoga (Open to All)

These classes are open to all levels at any time — no intro required. Perfect if you want to build strength or flexibility while easing into pole.

Your First Class Experience

Here’s what happens when you walk in:

  • We’ll introduce you to your instructor and classmates (everyone remembers what it’s like to be new).

  • We warm up together — no scary moves, just getting your body ready.

  • You’ll learn basic pole grips, spins, and safety tips.

  • Everything is beginner-friendly — no pressure, no judgment, just fun.

Nervous? Totally Normal.

Every single person who walks through our doors has been exactly where you are — excited, curious, and maybe a little nervous. That’s okay. We’ve built a space where you can laugh, fall (safely!), and surprise yourself with what your body can do. We look forward to seeing you there!
